Environmental (Green) Investments Fund (hereunder – the Fund) is a non-governmental, consulting organization that provides expertise relating to climate change mitigation strategies and policies for businesses, governmental and civil organizations.
The Fund has brought together key Ukrainian experts on climate change, energy efficiency, project analysis and preparation. Our staff includes professionals with advanced degrees and qualifications in natural sciences, climatology, economics and mathematics. By combining research findings with public policy issues and political insights, our consulting staff provides clients with timely, cost-effective intelligence and advice.

Ukraine reinstated its eligibility to participate in greenhouse gas emission tradingThe Compliance Committee recommenced Ukraine’s compliance with the Kyoto protocol requirements. This decision was taken on the 19th meeting of the Enforcement Branch of the Compliance Committee on March 9th in Bonn. Киотский протокол продлен до 2020 годаГлобальные климатические переговоры в Дурбане завершились компромиссом — срок действия Киотского протокола продлен до 2020 года, за это время должно быть подготовлено новое, более жесткое соглашение по сокращению парниковых выбросов. Впрочем, круг государств, которые заявили о готовности снижать выбросы в 2013-2017 годах, резко сузился — среди них больше нет ни одного из лидеров мировой экономики, кроме стран-участниц ЕС. Тем временем ООН готовится ужесточить механизм торговли сокращениями выбросов. В этих условиях эксперты советуют Украине интегрироваться в европейскую систему торговли квотами. |
